Book Review - BackTrack 5 Wireless Penetration Testing By Vivek Ramachandran

Hello Friends. Recently I got an official mail from PACKT publishing House, UK to review a book on penetration testing that they have published recently. I was very excited to review it for 2 reasons -
First I was getting a free copy worth $50 and second it is authored by one of me idols in the field of Hacking and Penetration testing - Vivek Ramachandran sir.

As the Book's title says that its a beginners guide, but it goes beyond beginners level in a very smooth manner. The book is very well written and is a trend setter in this field as there are no titles available for Wireless penetration testing with BackTrack. The book leverages the complete power of various penetration testing tools like aircrack, wireshark etc.
It covers all aspects related to WLAN and covers both WEP as well as WPA authentication techniques.
The book covers basic topics like WLAN packet injection to advanced topics like Man in the middle attack, session hijacking etc.
It is a must read for all networks administrators and penetration testers as it exposes some of the key flaws in the security mechanisms of wireless networks available to us today.
